It's a story most of us have heard or witnessed before. Crotchety and greedy old Ebenezer Scrooge, complaining about the poor, turning down the invitation of his nephew to Christmas dinner, and begrudgingly giving Bob Cratchit the day off for Christmas. We fondly remember past portrayals of Scrooge face to face with the ghost of his ex-partner Jacob Marley, flying through the past and present with amiable spirits and having a change of heart after coming face to face with his own death. At Hartford Stage this season, the story comes to life with renewed excitement and joy in the form of A CHRISTMAS CAROL - A GHOST STORY OF CHRISTMAS. The classic story by Charles Dickens and as adapted and originally directed by Michael Wilson is an annual tradition for Hartford Stage, but one that will be not be the same after this year's production.

With new stage magic and Chicago favorites, Goodman Theatre's A Christmas Carol takes the stage in its 39th year. Returning for his fourth year, Henry Wishcamper directs Charles Dickens' tale of hope and redemption.

Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) presents the annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and original, award-winning adaptation created just for NSMT audiences. Due to high demand for matinee performances, Syracuse Stage has added a performance of Peter Pan on Tuesday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. These daytime performances are very popular with families and young children and many are sold out.

Northern Stage to Produce Largest Show in Its History, Mary Poppins, for the Holidays in the New Barrette Center for the Arts

Audiences will dive into the new season of The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati with Ariel and her aquatic friends in DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. which has been adapted from Disney's 2008 Broadway production.  The show runs October 16-18, 24 & 25 at the Taft Theatre.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) is thrilled to present Peter Pan the Musical for the first time on our stage, April 21 through June 21, 2015 on the UnitedHealth Group Stage. Ivey Award-winner Peter Rothstein directs with choreography by Joe Chvala (Flying Foot Forum). The creative team of national theatre luminaries includes Set Designer Walt Spangler (Broadway credits include A Christmas Story the Musical, Scandalous, Desire Under the Elms), Costume Designer Linda Cho (Tony Award for A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) and Sound Designer Philip S. Rosenberg (Broadway credits include The Elephant Man and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder).
