Beagle is an experienced artist who has worked in professional theatre for over 10 years. He comes to The Youngstown Playhouse from The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture in New York City, where he previously served as Front of House Manager.

Shining Light, a non-profit organization that brings arts and personal development programs to prisons and jails throughout the country, has partnered with Broadway actors, professional musicians and dancers, and independent filmmakers to produce 10 original creative works written by men and women in prison.

Based on the ever-popular, award-winning 1970s cartoons, this fast-paced musical teaches lessons with clever, catchy tunes. The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop culture phenomenon is now the basis for one of the most fun musicals ever to hit the stage, Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. Performances run April 22nd thru the 25th at the Jeanne B McCoy Center for the Arts, 100 West Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054. The new hires will succeed Operations Manager James McClellan, who stepped down during the COVID-19 pandemic. They will join current staff members John Pecano, Technical Director, Sarah Jane Demetruk, Education Director, and Merle Ford, Maintenance Manager.

Written by playwright and television writer Ed Napier (TV’s Criminal Minds) with co-direction by Emmy-winning television producer Jesse William Green (Broadway Sandwich) and actress/filmmaker Jodie Markell with original music by David Van Tieghem (2007 Guggenheim Fellowship in Music Composition).

Mark William, two time BroadwayWorld Cabaret winner and current MAC nominee for best male debut, returned triumphantly to The Green Room 42 for his sixth engagement and literally blew the roof off the place.

The love story that will last generations comes to life as Capitol City Opera Company (CCOC), a 501(c)3 non-profit professional opera company, opens its 37th season with their first full-staged French opera, Roméo et Juliette by composer Charles Gounod on Friday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7 at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University. Tickets are $30 – $40 and are available online at ccityopera.org.

Featuring the songs in his critically acclaimed nightclub act, Come Croon With Me, it is now available for pre-order and will be released on CD, digital download, and all streaming platforms on November 22.
