Urban Stages has announced Urban Stages' Women's Month selection, Eleanor and Alice by Ellen Abrams, performed as a radio play. The radio play will premiere on March 18 at 7:30 pm with a premiere night benefit exclusive to ticket holders.

Urban Stages has announced Mixing Melodies and Margaritas, a virtual benefit featuring musical performances and appearances by legendary stars along with how-to guides for delicious cocktails/mock-tails so everyone can make a drink, raise a glass and save Urban Stages Theater.

On August 1st @ 6:30 pm PDT (7:30 MDT; 8:40 CDT; 9:30 EDT), Trezana Beverley will be acting with and directing a stellar cast from New York, Arizona's Southwest Shakespeare Company and others from across the nation in Julius Caesar.

Oren Safdie, a nationally celebrated playwright of contemporary architecture culture, will have his play, Color Blind, presented as a staged performance at the Center for Architecture in New York. The play was featured at the 2019 Symposium on Race & Architecture at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, and recently won the Kevin Tierney Prize for best new English language play in Quebec.

Urban Stages' Board of Directors and founding artistic director Frances Hill celebrated 35 years of acclaimed Off-Broadway plays/musicals and art programming at The Central Park Boathouse last night, May 15 at 6:30 pm.

 On Saturday, May 5th 2018, Take Wing And Soar Productions (TWASInc), an award winning, Harlem-based, professional Theater Arts Corporation held its Fifteenth Anniversary Gala Celebration, the TAKE WING AND SOAR SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS, at Columbia University's Lerner Hall Roone Arledge Auditorium.  The elegant afternoon featured esteemed hosts, talented classical actor/singers and the Volunteer Divas who were joined by approximately 120 business leaders, artists, patrons, volunteers, friends and alumni.

Urban Stages' Board of Directors and founding artistic director Frances Hill will celebrate 'The Magic of Theater by presenting the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary actor Jim Date at their Gala Benefit.   The event will be held at the Boathouse in Central Park at 6:30PM on May 14, 2018. The award will be presented by stage and screen star Simon Jones (Farinelli and the King, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director), will close its 34th season with the New York Premiere of Sean Christopher Lewis's DOGS OF RWANDA, directed by Frances Hill and Peter Napolitano. This limited engagement at Urban Stages (259 West 30th Street), begins performances on Friday, March 9, opens on Monday, March 12 and will run through Saturday, March 31, 2018.
