Inis Nua Theatre Company presents their much-anticipated eighteenth season with a return to in-person productions, featuring three mainstage plays and a poignant reading series about Healing and Hope. Inis Nua Theatre Company has the unique mission to present contemporary plays from Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales for a Philadelphia audience.

Stockard Channing and Rebecca Night will perform in the Pulitzer Prize-winning 'night, Mother by Marsha Norman.  This astonishing play, which had its UK premiere at Hampstead Theatre in 1985, will be directed by the theatre's Artistic Director, Roxana Silbert.  'night, Mother will run from 22 October until 4 December 2021.

The line up includes shows from London's West End; Adam Kay's This is Going To Hurt Live, Olivier Award Winning Showstoppers the improvised musical and West End in the Park, a night of musicals with Kerry Ellis, Oliver Tompsett, Nadim Naarman and Siubhan Harrison. Hampstead Theatre has announced the cast for Tennessee Williams’, The Two Character Play, directed by Sam Yates, from 17 July until 28 August.  Yates is making a highly anticipated return to the theatre following his Olivier-nominated production of The Phlebotomist (2019).

Hampstead Theatre has announced its first live productions for 2021.  Alfred Fagon's darkly compelling, The Death of a Black Man will run from 28 May until 10 July having originally premiered at the theatre in 1975.  46 years on, this rare revival from the Black British playwriting canon, raises many of the same questions we face today surrounding identity, capitalism and sexual politics. 

Moronkẹ Akinola, Hammed Animashaun, Ayesha Antoine,Alex Austin,  Lisa Hammond, Mariam Haque, Zachary Hing, Siu-see Hung, Wendy Kweh, Tasha Lim, Ntonga Mwanza, Rochelle Rose and Liza Sadovy have been cast in Edition 2 of the Royal Court Theatre's Living Newspaper: A Counter Narrative. 

Over 60 writers are involved in the creation of the Royal Court Theatre's weekly Living Newspaper.

Award-winning Hull theatre company Middle Child have announced an animated panto-inspired show that will be available to watch for free online this Christmas.

In October Watford Palace Theatre announced they had successfully received support from the Culture Recovery Fund. This will enable the venue to re-open their doors to the local community safely and start to bring their cultural offering back to the centre of Watford. After careful consideration and consultation, the venue has devised the Three Counties Freelancers Season as an ideal opportunity to serve local audiences and support local artists at the same time.

James Fritz' modern thriller Four Minutes Twelve Seconds is an intense exploration of morality and the real-world implications of our digital lives.

Paines Plough have today announced casting for the transfer of Sam Steiner's YOU STUPID DARKNESS! to Southwark Playhouse, a co-production with Theatre Royal Plymouth. An urgent play about the struggle for optimism and community amid the chaos of a collapsing world, the production is directed by former Paines Plough co-Artistic Director James Grieve and the cast includes: Andrew Finnigan; Jenni Maitland; Lydia Larson; Andy Rush. The show opened at Theatre Royal Plymouth earlier this year and will run at Southwark Playhouse from 16 January - 22 February with a Press Night on Monday 20 January.

Inis Nua mines the shared cultural histories of these countries for an American audience, introducing Philadelphia audiences to fresh new voices from abroad who tackle social, political, and personal issues that we see in our country today.

The National Theatre has announced 15 productions of new plays and fresh adaptations by leading writers.

Ten UK school and youth theatre companies have been chosen to bring their productions of ten brand new plays to the 2019 National Theatre Connections Festival, which takes place in the Dorfman Theatre from 25-29 June.
