Mack & Poppy, the nation's best least-known lounge act, return to Los Angeles with their acclaimed show 'Til Death Do Us Part, for three shows only on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 at 9pm, and Sunday, May 13 at 7pm, at Cavern Club Celebrity Theater inside Casita Del Campo Restaurant in Silver Lake. With a musical look at their tumultuous, legendary marriage and professional partnership, this dynamic duo of comedy and song takes audiences on a trip down memory lane recalling their first meeting, courtship, marriage, and their meteoric rise from total obscurity to semi-fame.

On March 24 in Ferguson Hall at the Straz, by the talents of The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), in collaboration with the It Gets Better Project and Speak Theater Art, through it gets better I experienced the heartbreak of it all. I was taken on an emotional rollercoaster of anguish and sorrow contrasted by love and laughter, and the thread that ran through every dialogue, every song that it, indeed, gets better if you have hope.

If you go to MACK & POPPY: LET IT SNOW expecting just a cheesy lounge  act for fluffy amusement, you would be selling Mack & Poppy way short. Tod Macofsky and Christopher Graham have created a fine tuned act of calibrated cheese eliciting many hearty laughs accented with actual solid vocal chops presenting songs straight up for a most entertaining 70 minutes. Holiday tunes (Christmas, Jewish and Kwanzaa) get both sent up and sung straight.

Kimmel Center brings the nationally recognized It Gets Better Project to Philadelphia, sharing the inspiring message of hope in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth who have experienced and survived bullying. Through a weeklong residency of the It Gets Better Project, which begins on November 4, youth led panel discussions and free community events relay the message of hope and perseverance to LGBT youth who have been harassed in their schools and communities. The weeklong residency culminates with a ticketed event of It Gets Better live on stage - a transformative concert, video and narrative experience featuring the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles in Perelman Theater on Saturday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Mack & Poppy are set to make their long-awaited return to Los Angeles with their new show The Patriot Act on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. The curtain will rise at 9pm for both shows at Cavern Club Celebrity Theatre inside Casita Del Campo Restaurant in Silver Lake. In this star-spangled romp, Mack and Poppy present a musical tribute to the greatest country in the world (the USA, of course) as a send-off to their beloved cabana boy Fernando, just prior to his imminent deportation.
