California Repertory Company continues its 30th Anniversary Season with Dear Harvey by Patricia Loughrey. Opening during LGBT History Month and on National Coming Out Day, October 11, 2018, Dear Harvey, pays tribute to Harvey Milk one of the first openly gay elected official in the history of California. Despite his short career in politics, Harvey Milk became an icon of hope. This year marks the 40th anniversary of his assassination.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the winners of the 2018 NYMF Awards for Excellence, which were awarded on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Hudson Terrace

Award-winning playwright Patricia Loughrey and composer Thomas Hodges announce that five-time NYMF alum Erin Leigh Peck (Motherfreakinghood, Grease! on Broadway) will step into the lead role of Margaret Evans in their original LGBTQ musical Sonata 1962.The production, which will make its Off-Broadway debut this August as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's Next Link Project, was originally slated to star Becca Ayers who has had to step out of the show due to booking a Broadway contract.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. This Thursday night, June 21st, Broadway Sessions offers it's annual New York Musical Festival Sneak Peek, featuring performances from some of the hottest shows being featured in this yers festival.

Award-winning playwright Patricia Loughrey and composer Thomas Hodges, whose critically acclaimed play Dear Harvey has been making waves across the nation since its debut in 2010, are thrilled to announce their original LGBTQ musical Sonata 1962 will making its Off-Broadway debut this August as part of the 2018 New York Musical Festival's (NYMF) Next Link Project.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today 11 of the 12 productions slated for 2018 NYMF. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project selections, as well as the first of two invited productions. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2018 Festival will take place July 9th through August 5th at locations on West 42nd Street in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.

Moss Productions is proud to present In The Works. This exciting series is in it's Second Season and was conceived as an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment. It is also an opportunity to create community among the composers and their performers.

Nick Cearley, who originated the role of Randall, the perspiring actor-singer-songwriter-dancer-secretary in the 'one-man musical whirwind' ...And Then I Wrote a Song About It, will reprise his role at Diversionary in the west coast premiere March 25-April 10. Diversionary will produce the new musical as the 5th show in its 2010-2011 season. ...And Then I Wrote a Song About It had its world premiere at the acclaimed New York City area theatre Luna Stage last November, directed by Igor Goldin. Goldin will direct the Diversionary production (he directed Yank! and The New Century for Diversionary).
