Last night, the first full trailer for upcoming movie The Hate U Give dropped during the BET Awards. Less than 12 hours later, the trailer already has over 1.1 million views on YouTube. Fitting for what is hyped to be one of the most important movies of the year, especially considering the novel has spent the last 68 weeks on the New York Times Best Sellers List since it debuted last February--and many of those weeks have been spent at #1, where it is residing once more this week. THE HATE U GIVE is Angie Thomas' first novel and has already won or been shortlisted for several awards, including the prestigious National Book Aard Longlist, Michael L. Printz Award, William C. Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning actor Kelsey Grammer (“Cheers, “Frasier,” “Boss”) has joined the cast of FOX's upcoming drama, PROVEN INNOCENT. Grammer will play GORE BELLOWS, a hard-as-nails and tough-on-crime state's attorney, who goes up against an underdog legal teamcommitted to reopening investigations to exonerate the innocent who were “proven” guilty. The series is scheduled to premiere midseason.

Today, the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) continues its 22-year legacy of providing a platform for diverse storytelling and emerging filmmakers, by announcing the 2018 official selections in all screening categories. The festival returns to Miami Beach, FL from June 13-17.

Showtime New Teaser for Season Four of THE AFFAIR

THE AFFAIR explores the emotional and psychological effects of an affair that destroyed two marriages, and the crime that brings these individuals back together. Season four finds Noah (West), Helen (Tierney), Alison (Wilson) and Cole (Jackson) in their own orbits, alienated from each other, spinning further and further away from where they all began. Every character is involved in a new relationship, forcing them each to decide if they're ready and willing to leave the past behind for good – with a season about new beginnings, tragic ends and the ever-elusive possibility of forgiveness. Sanaa Lathan joins season four as Janelle, the tough-as-nails principal of the charter school where Noah teaches. Ramon Rodriguez guest stars as Ben, a Marine veteran now employed by the VHA and Alison's new love interest. Additional season four guest stars include Russell Hornsby (Grimm), Christopher Meyer (The Fosters), Amy Irving (Yentl) and Phoebe Tonkin (The Vampire Diaries). Writers Guild Award-winning playwright and writer/producer Sarah Treem (House of Cards, In Treatment) and Hagai Levi (In Treatment) created the series.
