The Marsh San Francisco adds five free performances of Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period, due to ongoing support from a GoFundMe campaign and generous corporate contributions from Fremont Bank and OSIsoft in San Leandro. This deeply moving and surprisingly funny work outlines Copeland's own struggles with depression and suicidal thought, and is presented at no cost to remove all barriers for those who may be struggling with depression themselves. Featuring humorous, poignant, and riveting insights, the solo show written by Copeland and directed by David Ford, will take place January 6 & 20,  February 3, March 3 & 17, 2019 with performances at 5:30pm, Sundays at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia Street. General admission for this performance is free, although reservations are recommended. CLLAW's 31st benefit match will feature Chicago's biggest, baddest lady arm wrestlers, live musical entertainment and a cash bar. Doors open at 9 pm with the first match beginning at 9:30 pm.

Hairspray, winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Book, is a family-friendly musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance and deliriously tuneful songs. Music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan. Hairspray will be directed by J. Scott Lapp (SDMT's First Date), with choreography by Jill Gorrie (SDMT's Singin' in the Rain, 42nd Street, Damn Yankees), and music direction by Don LeMaster. Hairspray runs August 3 - September 2, 2018 at the historic Horton Grand Theatre, with press opening on Saturday, August 4 at 8:00 PM.

Ray Brewer has had one dream all his life: To perform in the greatest theater city in the world. But the 17-year old Largo, Florida native has never been to the Big Apple-not even once. Now, thanks to his role as Peter Rabbit in CARROTS, one of Broadway Bound Theatre Festival's offerings this August, his dream has come true. Steve Budd, who returns to perform Thursdays and Saturdays July 19 - August 18 at The Marsh San Francisco, has added a special one-afternoon-only performance of his hit show What They Said About Love at 2pm, Sunday, August 12. He also announces a line-up of post-show events including visits from relationship and sex experts, astrologers, and more, who will help audiences explore whether love is in their stars, and how people really connect.
