As the nation commemorates the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks this September, an original new play will transport audiences back to 9/12, the day after, and offer a glimpse of how families and communities began to change in the immediate wake of the tragic events.

The Players' Ring continues its 30th Anniversary season with the world premiere of Walter Freeman's 9/12, a provocative and compelling comedy/drama about an unexpected visitor on the day after the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy.

The Players' Ring will present David Auburn's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winner Proof - a dazzling psychological thriller about a brilliant mathematician struggling to untangle her father's legacy - from November 13-22 with both live and online performances.

In an original musical premiering Friday, Nov. 22 at the Players Ring in Portsmouth, actors Joel King of Nashua and Aly Aramento of Londonderry, who are both 21 and a real-life couple, play the roles of Dan and Grace, recently married college sweethearts who are about the same age as the actors.

Continuance Pictures has selected the Top 25 script submissions for the first Continue Short Film Initiative, which aims to establish a platform for Australian talent and provide opportunities for emerging filmmakers everywhere.  Unexpectedly, the Continue initiative proved popular internationally, with filmmakers from all corners of the globe submitting their film and television scripts. A third of submissions came from female screenwriters, and of the top 25 finalists, over a third were written by women.
