Beehive Dramaturgy Studio has announced the launch of a new partnership with a team of artist-organizers including Chris Myers (actor, An Octoroon), Stephanie Borgovan (visual artist), Sofia Goodman (researcher/printmaker), Naiyah Ambros (filmmaker), and Annie McFoxwell (actor) on a new programming series called Anticapitalism for Artists.
Playwrights Horizons Names Natasha Sinha Associate Artistic Director

Playwrights Horizons today announced Natasha Sinha as its new Associate Artistic Director. Selected after a national search, Sinha, who is currently Director of Artistic Programs at Signature Theatre, will assume the position in January 2021.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced the Roundabout Directors Group providing career assistance to emerging directors. This is an extension of Roundabout's myriad artistic and career mentorship programs, including the Roundabout Directing Fellowship, the Theatrical Workforce Development Program and Space Jam, a support initiative for playwrights.

The Ziegfeld Club, Inc., one of New York City's first performing arts charities to benefit women has announced that composer and lyricist Rona Siddiqui, whose autobiographical musical Salaam Medina Talse of a Halfghan will be workshopped at Playwrights Horizons this month, has been named the recipient of the fifth annual Billie Burke Ziegfeld Award (BBZA). Created to honor a female composer of musical theatre, the BBZA is a prestigious $10,000 cash grant. In addition, the recipient receives one year of artistic and professional mentorship from a prominent composer and a producer of musical theatre.
Musical Theatre Factory Announces RECLAIMING OUR TIME, Celebrating MTF's People Of Color Roundtable

These electrifying, witty, powerful, complex and poignant songs explore a range of stories told by the ones who are meant to tell it- songs about matters pertaining to race and just plain ol' humanity! Curated by Natasha Sinha and Ianne Fields Stewart. Reclaiming Our Time will take place at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St) on Monday, May 20 at 7pm. Tickets are $25 and are available at mtf.nyc/events.
