The pre-Broadway engagement of EMPIRE opened at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, with book, music & lyrics by Caroline Sherman and Robert Hull, musical direction by Sariva Goetz, and directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime). EMPIRE runs through Sunday, February 14, 2016.

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & MC COY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT (2014 Ovation Award Nominee for Best Season!), in association with Sue Vaccaro, Ricky Stevens & The Rivet Gang announce the third show of their 2015-2016 season, the pre-Broadway engagement of EMPIRE, book, music & lyrics by Caroline Sherman and Robert Hull, musical direction by Sariva Goetz, and directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime).  EMPIRE will preview on Friday, January 22, 2016 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 23) and run through Sunday, February 14, 2016 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.  BroadwayWorld brings you a first look at curtain call and press night below!

To kick off Segerstrom Center for the Arts' brand new 2015-2016 Spotlight Series, the O.C. theatrical institution will welcome cast members of the Tony Award-winning New York company of the hysterical FORBIDDEN BROADWAY for the show's latest touring incarnation entitled Alive and Kicking! for a limited four-performance engagement at the Center's Samueli Theater from October 1-4. One of the show's longtime stalwarts is Trisha Rapier, a 12-year veteran of the show who also happens to hail from Orange County! She agreed to answer a few questions from BWW So. Cal. contributing editor Michael L. Quintos before her O.C. homecoming.

The Hollywood Bowl's production of Monty Python's SPAMALOT (which won the Tony for Best Musical in 2005) played last weekend at the legendary venue.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa will be hosting Platinum Award-winning singer-songwriter and Tony Award®-nominated actress Ann Hampton Callaway for a series of cabaret concerts celebrating the music of living legend---and her personal musical heroine---Barbra Streisand. The intimate show will take place May 7-9, 2015 at the Center's Samueli Theater.

On the trailblazing March 2nd episode of ABC Family's hit critically-acclaimed drama series THE FOSTERS, viewers witnessed a pair of 13-year-old best friends explore one of the most time-honored, sometimes awkward rituals of typical adolescence: declaring their attraction for one another with a kiss. The only big difference this time around? The two pals at the center of this blooming romance are both male: Jude (stirringly portrayed by Hayden Byerly) and Connor (played by Gavin Macintosh). Prior to the airing of the history-making episode, BroadwayWorld contributing editor Michael L. Quintos posed a few questions to the young actor about his role, his life on set, and the significance of his character's existence in today's modern television landscape.

Currently playing Nick Massi, a member of the talented quartet better known to the world as The Four Seasons, Adam Zelasko is now in his third year of touring with JERSEY BOYS, the hit Tony award-winning musical, which will be returning to Orange County for a two-week engagement at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts starting June 24.
