Underbelly Productions have today announced full casting for a brand new production of Clarke Peters' Olivier Award-winning and Tony-Award nominated musical, Five Guys Named Moe. The production will open on 14 September 2017 in a new temporary theatre in Marble Arch, London. Whenever one thinks about the RMS Titanic, often the first images that come to mind is the massive vessel - the largest ship of its time that was "unsinkable", which met an unthinkable fate on its maiden voyage across the sea. But what is truly remarkable about the fateful voyage are the stories of those on board, from the third class immigrants in the depths of the ship, yearning for a better life in America all the way up to first class, which represented a true "who's who" of American millionaires and businessmen. These stories, the stories of the human beings who boarded the Titanic never to return (or return the same), are on full display at the Broad Brook Opera House in the Opera House Players' current production of Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's TITANIC THE MUSICAL.

It's always a pleasure catching up with an old friend, hearing stories you haven't heard in years, laughing together about inside jokes and just feeling comfortable together. These feelings can often be the same when experiencing a theatrical piece again after a long absence. What makes it even more special is when you rarely get to see that friend (or that show). Such is the case, for me, with Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman's THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM, Broad Brook's Opera House Players' current production.

A beautiful transformation takes place on stage at the Broad Brook Opera House in the Opera House Players' solid, beautifully presented production of the classic Lerner and Loewe musical, MY FAIR LADY. A classic such as this one requires love and care to ensure that audiences experience all the things they might expect (classic songs, familiar characters and settings) but in a way that feels fresh, new, and exciting. And in this production, the Opera House Players have done just that.

Dead Writers Theatre Collective presents four performances of the Oscar Wilde bio-play, The Judas Kiss, this weekend, August 6 through 8 at the Stage 773 Cabaret, 1225 West Belmont Avenue in honor of the recent Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. 'We want to celebrate through raising funds to support theater, yet we also want to remember those who came before,' says director Jim Schneider. 'Oscar Wilde was a founding father of the gay movement and this play encapsulates his sacrifice.'

More than 400 alumni, donors and supporters gathered at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall last week for the 2015 NYU Tisch School of the Arts Gala, honoring Michael C. Hall, Steven Lutvak and Robert L. Freedman, with a special tribute to Mel Silverman. The evening was a celebration of the dreams of NYU Tisch students, both past and present, and featured performances by current students and alumni of NYU Tisch and the cast of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder. The event was hosted by Anna Deavere Smithand included presenters Peter Krause, Winnie Holzman and Tyne Daly. Also in attendance were Ewan McGregor,Lauren Graham and Morgan Macgregor. Over $1.1 millionwas raised to support the education of talented young artists from around the world.

Mack & Poppy are set to make their long-awaited return to Los Angeles with their new show The Patriot Act on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. The curtain will rise at 9pm for both shows at Cavern Club Celebrity Theatre inside Casita Del Campo Restaurant in Silver Lake. In this star-spangled romp, Mack and Poppy present a musical tribute to the greatest country in the world (the USA, of course) as a send-off to their beloved cabana boy Fernando, just prior to his imminent deportation. This dynamic duo of comedy and song will take their audiences on a road trip from sea to shining sea, across the purple mountains' majesty, across the fruity plains. Mack & Poppy will be accompanied by music director Jack Cheddar at the piano.
