"Appropriate," the 2014 Obie Award winner for Best New American Play, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, from August 15 through September 2. The story of family secrets is written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, 2016 MacArthur Genius Grant Recipient, and directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director.

Now, Lewis and his team - which includes choreographers Ashley Danielle and Tosha Pendergrast - give the show their own unique spin, opening tonight at Nashville's Z. Alexander Looby Theatre, featuring a fresh-faced young cast bringing the show to life. Two of those cast members - Emily Urbanski and Miracle Ham - responded to our queries, telling us how they found their way to theatrical careers and suggesting why you should be certain to see their show in this edition of Friday 5 (+1)...

On Friday, August 4th 2017, at 8:00 PM, there was an hour long reading of the not yet completed 'Goblins & Gates: An Original Musical (In Progress!).' The reading was presented in a studio at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey.

The Broadway blockbuster Wicked just welcomed new cast members to the Gershwin Theatre last week. Jackie Burns makes her long-awaited return to the Gershwin Theatre and the role of Elphaba for the first time since 2013, having recently concluded her starring run in the national tour of If/Then, of which she was also an original Broadway company member. She also played the role of Elphaba on the national tour of Wicked, where her performance received an Irene Award nomination.

Good news! The Broadway blockbuster WICKED will welcome new cast members to the Gershwin Theatre beginning Monday, July 31.
