A Thousand Cuts To Premiere At 2012 Palm Springs International Film Fest
by BWW News Desk
- Jan 5, 2012
"A Thousand Cuts" is not your typical Horror Feature. Rather, it's a kind of "meta" horror film, a thinking man's psychological thriller that tells the story of Frank (played by Academy Award Nominee Michael O'Keefe), whose daughter is murdered by a killer inspired by watching a series of Lance Ross (played by Michael A. Newcomer) films, Hollywood's newest "slasher series" director.

Continuing the trend is South Coast Repertory, now running an enjoyable new stage production continuing through October 9. This brisk, high-tech, yet faithful stage adaptation imagines the story coming to life before the eyes of a young teenager observing the drama.
Bell, Book and Candle In Time for the Holidays @ the Colony

To be frank, John van Druten's works, which include I Am a Camera and The Voice of the Turtle, as well as Bell, Book and Candle, may be considered dated, because sadly plays are no longer written with such style and wit. And who dotes on love and just being human in the 21st century? There's no time; it's unheard of! The Colony Theatre in Burbank proudly presents van Druten's amusing and cherished play about witchcraft, that may very well have inspired TV's Bewitched, with a delightful cast under Richard Israel's nourishing direction.
