The NYC Web Fest has announced that submissions are now open for its 11th annual edition. From November 8th to the 10th, 2024, creators, industry professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world will gather in the heart of New York City to celebrate the best in web series, short films, and pilot episodes.

A team from We Make Movies has collaborated with the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge for the third year in a row. For the challenge, filmmakers have just five days to write and produce a short film (one to five minutes) based on the year’s genre, buddy comedy which was announced at the Sundance Film Festival in January.  The films are required to promote disability inclusion. 

This week, Donelle Dadigan (Founder/President of The Hollywood Museum) joined many personalities, as they honor Black History Month with a new exhibit  “THIS JOINT IS JUMPIN” a celebration of Black Entertainers from Film, TV, Theater and Song. Check out photos from the event here!

The Hollywood Museum played host to a spectacular photo exhibit, for Mother's Day to pay homage to the matriarchs of the MOTION PICTURE MOTHERS organization and the most celebrated working moms in entertainment with loving and amusing images with their families. For the second year in a row a We Make Movies Team has joined The Easterseals Disability Film Challenge. This year is especially exciting as it is the 10th anniversary of the film challenge. Over 500 authentic films have been created over the past decade as part of an amazing community of disabled artists and leaders. Check out photos here!

The Van Nuys/ Reseda Elks Lodge in Los Angeles presented a charity screening of the movie ' The Wrong Blind Date' on Earth Day, April 22, 2022. Stars of the movie Meredith Thomas, Matthew Pohlkamp, Clark Moore, Rainer Dawn, Lesli Kay and Michael Gaglio joined the festivities for a great cause. 

We Make Movies champions filmmakers by connecting them to a supportive community of like-minded artistic professionals Their goal is to empower our fellow filmmakers, provide a custom experience tailored to the needs of each project and artist, and ultimately bridge the gap between the filmmaker and the business of film. 

FYC Independents and the Van Nuys/ Reseda Elks Lodge in Los Angeles presented a screening of the soon-to-be Valentine cult classic 'The Wrong Valentine' on February 11, 2021. Stars of the movie Evan Adams and Meredith Thomas were in attendance.

This past weekend, The Hollywood Museum held its first Lobby tribute of 2020, reuniting three remarkable leading ladies, Joan Van Ark, Michele Lee and Donna Mills, for the 40th anniversary of 'Knots Landing,' unveiling costumes worn by the three Knots' stars on the series, on loan from Warner Brothers and personal collections.

Many know Tom Jenkins for his work as both a commercial and theatrical actor. He has been in commercials to include Allstate, Toyota and Hallmark, to name a few.

Born out of the need to give undiscovered actors a platform to showcase their work during the competitive Emmy awards season, actress/producer Meredith Thomas is once again hosting the FYC Independents Screenings, formerly FYC US Independents on Friday, May 31 at the Van Nuys/Reseda Elks Lodge in Van Nuys, California. The event benefits the Elks' local charity initiatives.
