The new album was recorded in Asheville, NC at Echo Mountain Studios with producer Cason Cooley (Ben Rector, Ingrid Michaelson, American Authors) and Holcomb’s longtime bandmates Nathan Dugger (guitar), Rich Brinsfield (bass), Will Sayles (drums), and Ian Miller (keys).

Molly Tuttle won Best Bluegrass Album at last night’s 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards for her acclaimed record, Crooked Tree. Produced by Tuttle and Jerry Douglas, Crooked Tree explores Tuttle’s love of bluegrass and features collaborations with Sierra Hull, Old Crow Medicine Show, Margo Price, Billy Strings, Dan Tyminski and Gillian Welch.

GRAMMY Award-winning musician and scholar Dom Flemons, also known as “The American Songster,” will release his anticipated new album, Traveling Wildfire, on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. In advance of the release, the new song, “Slow Dance With You,” is debuting now with an ATMOS mix.

Poet Voice Sucks, a funny poetry series featuring humorous poetry performed by writers, comedians, and actors, returns for its fourth edition at the Broadway Comedy Club on December 18th.

The Hearth Theater Company in association with The Brick has announced casting for their World Premiere of Events, a dark comedy by Bailey Williams (I thought I would die but I didn't at The Tank), directed by Sarah Blush (Sehnsucht at JACK). The show will be presented at The Brick December 1-18.

Ahistoric number of music fans turned out for the 15th annual festival at Stephens Lake Park in Columbia, Missouri with headline sets from Wilco, Jon Batiste, Bleachers, Chaka Khan, Tanya, Tucker, and Old Crow Medicine Show. The Boch Center has re-introduced the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame (FARHOF), an education initiative located inside the iconic Wang Theatre in Boston.
