America-in-Play will present the premiere of A Time-Traveler's Trip to Niagra, Following the Bold Adventures and Strange Detours of an Unlikely Group of Travelers Across Time and America. Running May 3-18 at the Hudson Guild Theatre (441 West 26th Street), this unique comedy interweaves two journeys up the Hudson River: one by bus in 2014 and one by steamboat in 1828. From upper class Brits taking a tour of the Early Republic to a modern brother and sister taking a bus ride upstate to trace their roots, the two trips converge at the iconic and spectacular Niagara Falls and aim to investigate the relationship between the American landscape and identity while exploring ties between past and future. A unique 'Dime Museum' exploring Americana and the play will be open 30 minutes before each performance.

Adventure Stage Chicago (ASC) has announced the appointment of Mary Kate Barley-Jenkins as Managing Director. Ms. Barley-Jenkins comes to ASC from the Chicago Humanities Festival, where she served as the Managing Director of Programming and Production. At the CHF, she produced two diverse festivals and year-round humanities and educational programming (150+ events), serving an audience of 55,000 and an online audience of 200,000. She also conceived and was the Artistic Director of Stages, Sights and Sounds, CHF's international performing arts festival for young audiences, which each year reaches thousands of youth and families.

This satire about love and growing-up and "being real" will be directed by Flea Resident Director Kristen Seemel and feature members of The Bats. Previews begin November 1 with opening slated for November 18. Says Producing Director Carol Ostrow, "this witty and wise play by on-the-rise writer Mallery Avidon tackles the notion of love, sex and marriage and the challenges of 20-somethings who think they know how to have it all."

Shannon Sindelar, producing artistic director of Brooklyn's acclaimed Brave New World Repertory Theatre (BNW),today announced the launch of New Works, a new initiative featuring staged readings of new plays by emerging Brooklyn playwrights. Four plays have been selected for staged readings during the season and the first one is Captain Mike, by Gary Winter.

The Flea Theater kicks off its Fall 2013 Season with the New York Premiere of Jonathan Caren's THE RECOMMENDATION - a play about class, race, power and what happens to a friendship when the tables get turned. The 2012 production at The Old Globe in San Diego won the Craig Noel Outstanding New Play Award. Helmed by Flea Resident Director Kel Haney and featuring The Bats, the resident acting company at The Flea, this production plays August 23 - September 22, Wednesday - Sunday at 7pm with press opening on September 6. Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards and commemorated the organization's 50th anniversary at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. TV personality and Bravo executive Andy Cohen was the host for the evening. For the twelfth year in a row, the evening was generously underwritten by Swarovski.

Edun named Danielle Sherman as creative director, succeeding Sharon Wauchob, who designed the label for six seasons. Wauchob is leaving to focus on her namesake collection.
