Slipstream Presents Season 4 Fundraiser

Four years ago, Slipstream Theatre Initiative came into view with a very sparse but hopeful production of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale . Now, after 24 full scale productions, the company emerges for its fourth season. Pulling a new card from its deck, the young company ventures into original devised works, classics, and a musical or two.

Slipstream Theatre Initiative is excited to delve into the luscious world of French Farce with their third show of the season, 'Nain Rouge.' Based on the lesser known 'La Mi-Careme (Mid-Lent)' by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halevy, Nain Rouge is a story about a raucous hotel and its wacky tenants on the night of the popular Detroit festival. Audiences will be able to join the actors on stage throughout the night, as this farce has an interactive game built into it. Join the zany Marguerite Lamerthier and her trove of admirers on this light-hearted journey of indulgence.

Wiley and the Hairy Man, by Suzan Zeder is a spine tingling tale based on an old American folktale. It tells the story of a young boy named Wiley who goes deep into the swamp to conquer his only fear: the mythical Hairy Man.
