The PATH Fund Inc. has announced the release of Purple Rain, featuring Tony Award-winner (The Color Purple) and current nominee (Trouble in Mind), LaChanze, the latest single from the new Rockers On Broadway: Live  (Volume 1), an album of the best live performances from Rockers On Broadway concerts over the past 28 years.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center presents the musical Grease for three weeks, June 3-19 at the Vogel Auditorium. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the musical’s Broadway opening, this production of Grease is directed and choreographed by Lisa Stevens, whose resume includes the revivals of Chicago on Broadway and the West End and Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical. 

In addition to Brightman and Cerveris, the album includes songs from Paul Williams, Micky Dolenz, LaChanze, Christian Hoff, Alice Ripley, Constantine Maroulis, Emma Hunton, Donald Webber Jr., Morgan James, Michael Lanning, Donnie Kehr, and Isabelle Gottfried. Urban Stages Theater is presenting the premier reading of On The Flip Side, a new jukebox musical by Gary Apple as part of their 'Winter Readings Series.' Jukebox musicals about legendary superstars have packed Broadway houses over recent years, so Apple decided to create one for artists who will never have a jukebox musical of their own -- namely, One-Hit Wonders.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center will reopen its doors on Friday, October 29, with the first performance of A Bronx Tale The Musical directed by Broadway veteran Richard H. Blake. Based on Oscar nominee Chazz Palminteri’s play and subsequent film, A Bronx Tale is set in an Italian American neighborhood in the Bronx of the racially charged 1960s.

Love Goddess, the Rita Hayworth Cabaret is a celebration of music, dance, and magic with the glorious Rita Hayworth, played in a tour-de-force performance by the show’s creator, New York-based Almog Pail, accompanied by composer-lyricist & Broadway pianist, Logan Medland.
