On December 15th a cast Broadway favorites will take to the stage of 54 Below to celebrate the music of the 2001 cult classic movie 'Josie and the Pussycats.' Singing the pop/rock soundtrack will be Krystina Alabado (American Idiot), Alex Boniello (Spring Awakening), Jenny Baker (Fiddler on the Roof), Virginia Cavaliere (In the Heights tour), Lauren Chapman (Kinky Boots), Kathryn Gallagher (Spring Awakening), Sean Grandillo (Spring Awakening), Julia Mattison (Godspell), Krysta Rodriguez (Spring Awakening), Mike Schwitter (Pippin), Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening), and Alex Wyse (Spring Awakening).

Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to announce Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), returns to Chicago for a limited two-week engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 West Randolph) tonight, July 14, through July 26, 2015.

On Monday, May 11, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present Apollo Link, Broadway's premier vocal trio. After half-a-million YouTube hits, the trio brought original arrangements, impeccable harmonies and powerful vocals to the historic music room.  The trio performed fan favorites like "Chandelier," "Latch', 'Shake It Off," 'At Last," "Jealous," and many more. Students from Theatre Under The Stars' (TUTS) Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) recently showcased their outstanding musical theatre abilities at the 10th nationwide Junior Theater Festival, January 16 - 18. A total of 4,800 students from 26 states, the District of Columbia and two countries participated in the celebration of musical theatre presented by iTheatrics at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia. "I had the great pleasure of witnessing the HSMT students' superb artistic talent and an incredible standing ovation of 4,800 of their peers when their performance in the New Works Showcase was complete. I am proud that TUTS has the Humphreys School and am in awe of its accomplishments," said Bob Lawson, TUTS' Director of Education.

Prospect Theater Company will present a private developmental reading of the original musical The Underclassman on Monday, November 25th at New 42nd Street Studios (229 West 42nd Street, NYC). The Underclassman follows the early life of F. Scott Fitzgerald, from 1914 - 1917. Brilliantly talented, Fitzgerald is swept into the hierarchy of Ivy League society and the antics of the Princeton Triangle Club, in pursuit of the beautiful and elusive debutante Ginevra King - who became the model for the character of Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby.

The Laurie Beechman theatre was filled to capacity on Monday, November 4th for the Emerson College BFA Showcase featuring the BFA Acting and BFA Musical Theatre Class of 2013. Industry professionals hoping to find new cast members for their next projects and Emerson Alumni showed up to support and welcome the talented group to show business. Melia Bensussen, Chair of the Dept of Performing Arts thanked the audience and students for their dedication to Emerson College. Scroll down for photos!
