Fresh from a UK tour and three years after the Amazon Prime movie, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is back in London. The well known story is one of a Year 11 student in Sheffield who faces the challenges of his surroundings in order to become a drag queen. The musical, based on a true story, remains a heartwarming and energetic tale that promises to put a smile on your face.

BroadwayWorld was invited to a celebration of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Peacock Theatre. We were treated to a Q&A with Dan Gillespie Sells (Music), Ivano Turco (Jamie New), Giovanna Fletcher (Miss Hedge) and Talia Palamathanan (Pritti Pasha), hosted by Jonathan Butterell (Director). To start off 2024, we attended the premiere of Message in a Bottle, a Sadler’s Wells and Universal Music UK production, choreographed and directed by Kate Prince. The show tells us the story of a family pushed out of its homeland by the horrors of war and forced to migrate across the sea towards safety.
