The stars aligned on 50th Street as An Enemy of the People celebrated its opening night at the Circle in the Square Theatre. In attendence for the big night were Bradley Cooper, Adam Driver, Kit Connor, F. Murray Abraham, Paul Dana, Dan Stevens, Morgan Spector, Rebecca Hall, and more. New York City Ballet are at Sadler’s Wells for the very first time, and returning to London for the first time since 2008 in a rare event for dance fans in the capital. Now under the direction of Jonathan Stafford, they arrive with a diverse quadruple bill, presumably designed to offer something for everyone. NYCB boasts some of the finest dancers in the world, they are precise technicians who have honed their craft and have a unique identity but the overall effect lacks the punch audiences will be craving after such a long absence.
Review: ILLINOISE at Chicago Shakespeare Theater

ILLINOISE is a journey through our great state of Illinois using movement. Directed and choreographed by Justin Peck and featuring music and lyrics from Sufjan Stevens’s ILLINOIS album, the show uses dance as its primary narrative language. Peck collaborated with playwright Jacke Sibblies Drury on a loose storyline for ILLINOISE, but that story is communicated entirely through dance. Stevens’s lyrics underscore the situations in the show and mirror the emotional shades of the choreography.
