BWW Feature: LASHES OFF: AN AFTER-HOURS BENEFIT CONCERT at Round Up Saloon

The Kinky Boots national tour welcomes Broadway alum Timothy Ware to the road as he takes over the iconic role of Lola. No stranger to Lola's famous thigh-high red boots, Ware was the Lola Standby on Broadway where he performed the role 186 times. He's previously been seen across the country in the national tours of Mamma Mia! and Jesus Christ Superstar. Ware joins the tour cast in Spokane, WA, on Tuesday February 28, 2017.

Halcyon Theatre and A-Squared Theatre are proud to announce casting for the Midwest Premiere of Lloyd Suh's American Hwangap-led by Jeff Award-winner Joseph Anthony Foronda. Helen Young is set to direct the co-production that runsFebruary 24 through April 1 at Halcyon Theatre located in residence at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3253 W. Wilson Avenue, on Chicago's north side.

Chicago Inclusion Project Founder and Producer Emjoy Gavino is pleased to announce the cast of the next of The Chicago Inclusion Projects reading series, In the Next Room, or the vibratory play by Sarah Ruhl. The reading, presented in partnership with TimeLine Theatre Company and The League of Chicago Theatres, will take place on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 7pm at TimeLine Theatre, 615 W. Wellington Ave., Chicago.

As of this spring, Seth Bisen-Hersh has produced, emceed and accompanied over 400 showcases at Don't Tell Mama during the past 9 years.  To celebrate, he has invited 74 showcase alumni to return to the stage in 5 concerts of his songs in what he deems: Seth's 400th Showcase Nonapalooza!  The five concerts will be: Today, May 3rd; Today, May 10th; Friday, May 13th; Monday, May 16th; and Today, May 24th, all at 7PM.   Shows are all at 7PM at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W. 46th St.  There is a $12 cover and 2 drink minimum.  Reservations can be made by calling 212-757-0788 after 4 or going online to donttellmamanyc.com/shows.  The list of performers is below.

If it was possible to like... or rather, LOOOVE... the Broadway musical KINKY BOOTS even more so than one already does, the lovable, fresh-faced cast of the musical's current first national tour is certainly making a really good case for it. The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival will launch its 81st year with preview performances beginning on February 19, and the season officially kicking off Friday night, February 26 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (director, Christopher Liam Moore).
