Park Avenue Armory's 2023 season will mark the tenth year of its celebrated Recital Series, bringing chamber music programs by world-renowned artists to the restored Board of Officers Room.

Edmonton Opera has announced that Bizet’s Carmen opens the Diamond Season. Well beloved as the most famous opera of all, Carmen is known for glorious music and a fearless leading lady. Montreal’s Rose Naggar-Tremblay (mezzo soprano) will infuse this role with her rich voice and interpretive prowess as she makes her company debut, as well as her North American role debut.

Formed in 1991, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) is the oldest full-time musician-governed and collaboratively-operated orchestra in the United States. After 17 seasons under the musical direction of Carlos Miguel Prieto, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Board of Trustees is introducing renowned conductor Matthew Kraemer as the new Music Director.

Jonathan Dove's comedy opera, Flight, lands at the Royal College of Music's (RCM) Britten Theatre next month with a special production by acclaimed director Jeremy Sams. In what will be the 35th staging of Flight, Jonathan Dove will also be involved in the unique creative direction of this production.

The platform and its content—including full productions from the mainstage, concerts, and recitals; all TDO Network series; OperaKids family programs and education resources; TDO Connections, and more—will now be free to all users, with occasional original pay-per-view projects at a low cost.

Royal College of Music presents a vibrant summer season including Jonathan Dove’s opera Flight, family-friendly activities and visiting artists including Sir Andrew Davis and Benny Greb. 

The new season of the Schwabacher Recital Series, presented by San Francisco Opera Center and Merola Opera Program, continues on Wednesday, April 6 and Wednesday, April 27 at San Francisco's Dianne and Tad Taube Atrium Theater. Featuring recent and current San Francisco Opera Adler Fellows and Merola Opera Program alumni, the programs showcase emerging young artists from around the globe in the intimacy of a recital setting.

Gounod's masterpiece of grand French opera, Roméo et Juliette, continues San Diego Opera's 2021-2022 season when it opens on Saturday, March, 26, 2022 for four performances at the San Diego Civic Theatre. Additional performances are March 29, April 1, and 3 (matinee), 2022.

The Dallas Opera has secured the cabin and announced takeoff for Flight, the opera based on the real-life story that also inspired Steven Spielberg's The Terminal. The Dallas premiere of Jonathan Dove and April De Angelis' contemporary masterpiece opens at the Winspear Opera House on Friday, March 4, 2022.

This April, Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP) presents Toward the Unknown Region, a concert about boldly emerging from these uncertain times with daring optimism and a sense of renewal.

Lowell House Opera, the professional opera company in residence at Harvard University, presents the world premiere of NIGHTTOWN: an operatic reimagining of James Joyce's Ulysses, by composer and librettist Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg, based on the 15th and 18th chapters of Ulysses and the novel's roots in Homer's Odyssey. Performances will take place at Sanders Theater at Harvard University and will be livestreamed from March 10-12, 2022 at 7:30 and 3pm.

Mr. Kim was excited to make his North American debut at San Diego Opera and was impressed with the Company's safety protocols enacted to ensure the safety of the artists, staff, and audience, but needs to withdraw for personal reasons. The Company hopes to welcome him in the future. Mr. Brancy recently performed the role of Guglielmo in San Francisco Opera's production of Cosí fan tutte.

Opera Parallèle today announced the company's upcoming benefit celebration, Over the Rainbow, previously announced for Thursday, February 2, has been postponed and rescheduled to Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Saint Joseph's Arts Society, 1401 Howard Street.
