Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) continues its 23rd Season with the world premiere of MY SCANDALOUS LIFE by Irish playwright and novelist Thomas Kilroy (author of the award-winning novel 'The Big Chapel'), set to open February 6 (running through March 6). John Going (who helmed HIZZONER! on Broadway) directs.

Scott McLucas Studio Theatre on February 2, prior to its official press opening February 6 (running through March 6).

The Guthrie Theater today announced that Artistic Director Joe Dowling will direct legendary stage actor Brian Dennehy in John B. Keane's The Field in a limited run at Dublin's Olympia Theatre beginning January 13. Dennehy plays the iconic role of ‘The Bull' McCabe in Keane's award-winning play. The Field returns to the Olympia Theatre where it premiered more than 45 years ago and will run from January 13 through to February 12, then transfer to the INEC, Killarney, from February 15 through 17, followed by a transfer to the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, from February 24 through 26.

Enda Walsh, playwright of the critically acclaimed The Walworth Farce, premiered his new play, The New Electric Ballroom at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn last night to a full house. The play premiered at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, winning the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe First Award. The production is brought to St. Ann's by the Irish theatre company Druid Ireland and is directed by Edna Walsh. It runs at St. Ann's Warehouse through November 22nd.
