The Kennedy Center wraps up its production of Chess tonight at 8pm. Chess is an epic rock opera about love and political intrigue set against the backdrop of the Cold War as two superpowers attempt to manipulate an international chess championship for political ends.

Rock singer and former American Idol David Cook will be making his Broadway debut as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots this spring! Cook will begin performances on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He will play a limited run through Saturday, May 5, 2018.

Kinky Boots producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will step back into his heels as 'Lola' in the Tony Award® -winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) beginning on Monday, March 5, 2018. The Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots celebrated 2,000 performances on Broadway at Saturday's matinee performance, January 20, 2018. Led by Scissor Sisters front-man Jake Shears as Charlie Price and J. Harrison Ghee as Lola, the matinee audience took part in a full-theater photograph to commemorate the show's milestone performance.

On Monday, August 7th, cast members from the Broadway and touring productions of Kinky Boots will take to the stage of Feinstein's/54 Below to sing the music of Cyndi Lauper. The concert will serve as a benefit to help pay the medical bills of Kinky Boots cast member Eric LaJuan Summers, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
