Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award-nominated singer and actress Vanessa Williams will join Emmy winner and Grammy and Tony-nominated arranger and composer, music producer/director, and singer/songwriter Rob Mathes for his return to the Schimmel Center on Sunday, December 17 at 3:00 p.m.

In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Billy Porter announced his marriage to longtime partner Adam Smith. 'We're looking forward to understanding and learning how to share your life with somebody,' Porter was quoted. 'I'm really thrilled to figure out what that means - together, with my soul mate!'

Imagination Theater is looking for instrumentalists to perform in LES MISERABLES, with performances November 29 through December 29. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity since LES MISERABLES has been opened for community theaters for 2013 only.

LES MISERABLES, the world's longest-running musical, seen by over 60 million people in 42 countries and 21 languages around the globe is coming to Placerville's Imagination Theater. In what is likely to be an unprecedented worldwide celebration of musical theater in 2013 due to the release of LES MISERABLES for community theater productions, Imagination Theater, now in its thirteenth year of productions, has been approved by the show's owners, Music Theater International in New York City, to perform the show in November and December, 2013. Tickets are now available for the show online and through the theater box office.

Yesterday, May 12, The Broadway Show League kicked off its 57th season with Catch Me If You Can star Aaron Tveit and former New York Yankee player Jeff Nelson collectively throwing out the first pitch of the season. Joining them in the game were Broadway favorites including Will Swenson, Greg Jbara, Edie Falco, Billy Crudup, Tom Wopat, Mitchell Jarvis, Chad Kimball, Darren Ritchie and more! Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 17th season with ?Hysteria,? a farcical re-imagining of an actual 1938 meeting between Sigmund Freud and Salvador Dali ? a year before Freud?s death. Steven Carpenter (?Mrs. Farnsworth,? ?Trumbo: Red, White and Blacklisted?) returns to Rep Stage to direct two-time Helen Hayes Award-winner Bruce Nelson as Salvador Dali and Jeff Baker as Sigmund Freud. Also featured in the cast are Conrad Feininger and Marni Penning. ?Hysteria? opens October 7 and runs through November 1, 2009 in the Studio Theatre of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the campus of HCC.
