Theatre Memphis Presents ANNIE GET YOUR GUN Thru 9/12
by BWW News Desk
- Sep 12, 2010
The best shot around, Annie Oakley supports her siblings by selling the game she hunts. She's discovered by Col. Buffalo Bill who persuades this novel sharpshooter to join his Wild West Show. In just a glance she falls head over heels for dashing shooting ace Frank Butler who headlines the show. She soon eclipses Butler as the main attraction, which while good for business is bad for romance. Considered one of the best musical scores of all time, it includes, 'They Say It's Wonderful,' I Got Lost in His Arms' and 'There's No Business Like Show Business'. The rousing finale hits the mark every time.
