10 Productions Added To The National Theatre Collection For Schools, Libraries and Universities To Access Across The Globe

Building on the success of the National Theatre Collection, with 71% of UK state secondary schools now signed up to access this digital resource, an additional 10 theatre productions have been added to the platform for schools, colleges and the education sector worldwide in partnership with Bloomsbury Publishing and ProQuest.

Barbican Announces New Theatre And Dance Productions For This Autumn

The first production to open The Pit, following its closure for over a year and a half due to the pandemic, is Poetry + Film / Hack – Rocks curated by Inua Ellams and Michelle Tiwo. The evening begins with a screening of the award-winning critically-acclaimed film Rocks, followed by readings of specially commissioned new work by outstanding Black female poets, including Barbican Young Poets alumni, who respond to the film's themes.

The National Theatre has today announced its programming until the start of next year with productions on all three South Bank stages as well as three major UK tours, two productions on Broadway, a return to cinemas, and a new feature film to be broadcast on television this autumn. In the week the theatre reopened for audiences again, six new productions were announced, and five productions halted by the pandemic were confirmed to return to the South Bank.
