The Canadian Opera Company announced its 2024/2025 season with exciting programming comprised almost entirely of new-to-Toronto productions including the first-ever COC staging of Verdi’s Nabucco, the world premiere of a new production of Gounod’s Faust, and the Toronto premiere of La Reine-garçon, a new creation from Canadians Julien Bilodeau and Michel Marc Bouchard.

Portland Opera To Receive Grant From The National Endowment For The Arts

Portland Opera has announced it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to receive a Grants for Arts Projects award of $22,000. This grant will support the company's upcoming production of The Snowy Day, by composer Joel Thompson and librettist Andrea Davis Pinkney, based on the children's book by Ezra Jack Keats.
