The York Theatre Company has announced the roster of performers for a concert celebration at the 29th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala, which will honor musical theater legends Richard Maltby, Jr. & David Shire, and Elisa Loti Stein.

The Arkansas Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2021 “Rep Outdoors” Series with The Fantasticks in Concert. The event, which is a one-night-only concert staging of the classic musical, will be performed live in Murray Park on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

The York Theatre Company will honor musical theater legends Richard Maltby, Jr. & David Shire (Baby, Big, Starting Here, Starting Now, Closer Than Ever) with the 2021 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theater and Elisa Loti Stein with The York Theatre Company Founders’ Award at the 29th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala.

Following this summer and fall’s “Rep Outdoors” Series, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre has announced a return to producing live theatrical, indoor performances in 2021/22.

It may seem a production of the classic musical The Fantasticks can be found anywhere. The York Theatre Company has announced the continuation of its 50th Anniversary Season at its new temporary home at The Theatre at St. Jean’s. Following a devastating flood due to a water main break in January 2021 at its home at Saint Peter’s Church, the company will temporarily relocate to The Theatre at St. Jean’s.
