The Garden Theatre presents Hairspray showing April 25 - May 25, 2014, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm (160 W Plant Street). The presenting sponsors of Hairspray are Bob and Dianna Duffy. Hairspray is also sponsored Duke Energy, Insight Credit Union and Toole's ACE Hardware. The Garden Theatre's 2013-2014 Season is presented by CenturyLink. Several performance dates will feature celebrity walk-on roles. Directed by Rob Winn Anderson, Hairspray has a cast of over 30 actors, singers and dancers from across the Central Florida area.

The Margaret Mead Film Festival strives to illuminate the complexity and diversity of peoples and cultures from around the world. Encompassing a broad spectrum of creative storytelling from indigenous community media to experimental documentaries, the films present a range of cultural perspectives and offer forums for discussion with filmmakers and renowned speakers.

Virtuoso violinists Kev Marcus and Wilner Baptiste - aka Kev and Wil B of BLACK VIOLIN - return to New York with their funky fusion of classical, jazz, hip-hop, blues and R&B. With DJ TK on the turntables, Beatdown on the drums, and Joe Cello rounding out the band, these Apollo Legends, who played to sold-out New Vic houses in 2009, will perform a concert of new compositions, classic favorites and pop cover tunes at The New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street, from tonight, November 9 through November 25.

The Garden Theatre will present its third self-produced spring production,The Music Man showing April 20-May 27 at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street). Directed by Claud Smith III, The Music Man has a cast of over 60 children and adults ranging in age from 5-65 as actors, singers, and dancers from across the Central Florida area.

In a spectacular finale to its triumphant launch year, National Theatre Wales joins forces with WildWorks and brings Port Talbot-born actor Michael Sheen back home to star in The Passion - a one-off theatre event with the community of Port Talbot at its very heart.
