SF Sketchfest, co-founded and directed by David Owen, Cole Stratton and Janet Varney, the longest-running comedy festival in the U.S. The event mixes major comedy stars and up-and-coming comedians from around the world for sketch, stand-up, alternative comedy, music, improv, films, tributes, live podcasts, workshops, and panel discussions.

Detour Company Theatre is bringing the chocolate factory to Scottsdale with their production of “Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka” from January 7–9 at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second St., Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League continues its 2021-2022 season with a classic from the 20th century film and children's literary canon, set to music and adapted for the stage. Road Dahl's 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' features all the glitz, quirkiness and fantasy of the classic Gene Wilder film with snappy musical numbers, and magic that can only be found in live theatre.

Roald Dahl’s classic children’s story CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY has found its way to the stage as a musical, retaining some elements from the classic movies whilst diverging in some areas. Crown Theatre plays home to this stunning musical, treating the people of Perth to a world of pure imagination.

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY is a beloved and well-known story, from the book, two hit films, and now a musical which opens this week at Crown Theatre. Stepping into this world of pure imagination are Lucy Maunder and Stephen Anderson. I caught up with them to talk the musical and their experience with one of the world’s favourite stories.

Young Frankenstein is a musical with a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and music and lyrics by Brooks. It is based on the 1974 comedy film of the same name written by Brooks and Gene Wilder and directed by Brooks, who has described it as his best film. I loved every minute of the musical, Young Frankenstein, the season closer for what has been an incredible year for the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine's treasured seaside town.

From the creators of Broadway's record-breaking musical comedy sensation, The Producers, comes 'Young Frankenstein' a monster of a hit musical based on Mel Brooks' classic comedy film masterpiece. This wickedly inspired re-imagining of the legend of Frankenstein is the story of the bright young doctor Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen) who travels to Transylvania to complete the masterwork of his grandfather by bringing a corpse to life.

Following auditions by more than 300 hopeful artists in Brisbane and around the country (via video calls), the full cast of this September's Queensland premiere season of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was unveiled today coinciding with World Chocolate Day (7 July).

Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) will bring the musical, Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Brisbane this September.
