On Wednesday evening, the biggest stars from sports and entertainment converged at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to celebrate the year's best moments in sports at “The 25th ESPYS Presented by Capital One.” The show was hosted by five-time NFL MVP and two-time Super Bowl champion Peyton Manning and aired live on ABC.

On July 12, the world's best athletes and biggest stars will join host Peyton Manning for “The 25th ESPYS presented by Capital One” on ABC. The star-studded evening celebrates the best moments from the year in sports and will be televised live from the Microsoft Theater on WEDNESDAY, JULY 12 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC.

Down in the right-hand corner of my computer screen, it tells me that its Friday, May 19 - which means that Memorial Day Weekend is just a week away! - how in the world did we make it from New Year's Day to Memorial Day in what seems to me to be like 15 minutes? Nashville Repertory Theatre announces Broadway star and former Tennessee Titan Eddie George as this year's Honorary Chair for Nashville Rep's Broadway Brunch, Sunday, May 7, at City Winery. After a national tour of Chicago and his successful run as Walter Lee Younger in A Raisin in the Sun, George will help support the Rep in its annual fundraiser. 

Spring is here! Why doesn't my heart go dancing? Well, Mr. Lorenz Hart, personally, we are too damn busy with creating the magic of live theater: We're directing a show (Daddy's Dyin'…Who's Got the Will? opens next week - April 20 - at The Larry Keeton Theatre in Donelson, thank you very much) and trying to make it out to see as much theater in Nashville as possible before old age takes its toll - it's tough out there for a theater critic!
