Underscore Theatre Company is excited to offer a bonus event during this year's Chicago Musical Theatre Festival: a benefit concert curated and headlined by Ebrin R. Stanley, most recently seen in the highly acclaimed Chicago company of Hamilton as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison. The Reality of Love will take place on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10 pm at The Edge Theater, 5451 N. Broadway in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood. Tickets ($15 in advance, $20 at the door) are currently available at www.cmtf.org.

Underscore Theatre Company is pleased to conclude its 2019-20 season with the world premiere of Notes & Letters featuring book, music and lyrics by Annabelle Revak, based on Revak's great-great grandfather's letters sent to his family upon his immigration to Chicago. Directed by Leah Geis, with music direction by Anna Wegener and choreography by Ebrin R. Stanley, Notes & Letters will play April 17 a?" May 23, 2020 at Underscore's newly-remodeled, permanent home, The Understudy, 4609 N. Clark St. in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood. Casting will be announced shortly. HAMILTON Announces Chicago Closing Date

The musical HAMILTON will conclude its more than three (3) year run in Chicago at Broadway In Chicago's CIBC Theatre (18 W. Monroe St.) on January 5, 2020, it has been announced by producer Jeffrey Seller. Chicago was the first city outside New York where HAMILTON opened; the production began performances on September 27, 2016 at what was then The PrivateBank Theatre.
