The MusicUNTOLD Orchestra and Los Angeles Master Chorale present the West Coast premiere of American composer Roy Harris’ Bicentennial Symphony.

The 10th Anniversary PROTOTYPE – OPERA | THEATRE | NOW season will resume January 5 - 15, 2023 after it was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.

This summer, the International Contemporary Ensemble, in partnership with The New School's College of Performing Arts, will present Ensemble Evolution-a hybrid summer intensive designed to foster a holistic understanding of the artist as a global citizen-from Saturday, June 25 to Saturday, July 2.

The Minnesota Orchestra today unveiled plans for 2022-23, a wide-ranging season that pairs the music of Beethoven, Brahms and Mendelssohn alongside newer compositions by Alberga, Mazzoli and Montgomery; spotlights masterpieces of the piano repertoire, and more.

On Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 8:00PM at Roulette Intermedium, the International Contemporary Ensemble will present Fay Victor's SIRENS AND SILENCES - marking the debut performance of Victor's work in a concert with the Ensemble after joining as a new, permanent Ensemble member in the summer of 2021 - and the world premiere of Kate Gentile's biome ii.

Concluding the 21.22 season, Canadian Stage and TO Live present the astonishing multi-media dance creation CRYPTO. Created and directed by National Ballet of Canada Principal dancer and Choreographic Associate Guillaume Côté, with story and libretto by Pulitzer Prize-winning librettist Royce Vavrek, this bold new production runs May 5th to May 7th, at the Bluma Appel Theatre.  

After an intensive, months-long search process, the International Contemporary Ensemble is thrilled to welcome renowned composer, musicologist, computer-installation artist, and trombonist George Lewis as Artistic Director.

Korean American violinist Jennifer Koh has been awarded the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Solo for her recording Alone Together, released by Cedille Records and based on her online performance series of the same name created in response to the coronavirus pandemic and the financial hardship it has placed on many in the arts community. The album features 39 world premiere recordings of new works by established and emerging composers. Ms. Koh received the award at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3. 

Philadelphia Theatre Company will present the world premiere of an insightful new work. Performed by Mohegan theatre-maker Madeline Sayet, Where We Belong  showcases an Indigenous theatre-maker’s journeys across geographic borders, personal history, and cultural legacies, in search of a place to belong.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Noon to Midnight: A Day of New Music will return Saturday, April 9 at Walt Disney Concert Hall, offering audiences LA’s most far-sighted ensembles in performances on the stage and in BP Hall of the iconic venue, anchored by an evening Green Umbrella concert focusing on composer Louis Andriessen.

In continuing to shift and disrupt the operatic field, Pulitzer Prize-winner Du Yun has created two new staged versions of A Cockroach's Tarantella and Zolle with director Roscha A. Säidow and in collaboration with the International Contemporary Ensemble and Satomi Matsuzaki.

NYU Skirball will present new staged versions of the chamber operas A Cockroach’s Tarantella and Zolle and by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Du Yun, in collaboration with the International Contemporary Ensemble and Satomi Matsuzaki, directed by Roscha A. Säidow, on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 at 7:30 pm.

LA Opera will present the world premiere of In Our Daughter's Eyes, by composer Du Yun and librettist Michael Joseph McQuilken, from April 13 through 17, 2022, at REDCAT. The monodrama was created for and with baritone Nathan Gunn, who portrays a father-to-be striving to become a man his daughter would be proud of.

The Grammy-nominated Western Wind Vocal Sextet will present 'Of Dreams, Desires & Dragons: Music by Women from Hildegarde to Joni Mitchell'on Saturday, March 19 at 7:00 PM at St. John's in the Village, 218 West 11th Street, NYC (West Village). The concert celebrates Women's History Month with a rich assortment of music by classical and modern women composers. Both live in-person and live streaming tickets are available.

For 20 years, the International Contemporary Ensemble has been a home for experimental new music, the artists who make it, and the community that supports it. In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Ensemble announces a season of performances and programs highlighting the artists who have shaped the past two decades, many of them skyrocketing to individual prominence, and those who will shape the third.

The US-China Music Institute of the Bard College Conservatory of Music will present The Sound of Spring: A Chinese New Year Concert conducted by Director of the US-China Music Institute Jindong Cai with The Orchestra Now (TŌN) performing.

NYU Skirball today announced changes to its 2022 winter season due to concerns over COVID-19 surges. The Center's opening production of Elevator Repair Service's Seagull, which was scheduled to begin February 2, has been postponed and will now play July 7 – 31.

Ringing in a hopeful 2022, Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts, will kick off a full year of live performance and art. Through performances, screenings, and exhibitions, REDCAT will once again welcome in-person audiences—as well as online audiences around the world—from January through June 2022. 

Lyric Opera of Chicago will present the acclaimed chamber opera by the award-winning team of composer Missy Mazzoli and librettist Royce Vavrek: Proving Up, performed at the Goodman’s Owen Theatre, January 22–30, 2022.

NYU Skirball's first post-Covid season will open on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, with a world premiere from the award-winning theater company Elevator Repair Service, followed by a remounting of Classical Theatre of Harlem's timely production of Seize The King, a hop-hop-infused reinterpretation of Richard III.
