Full casting is announced for YANK! which transfers to the Charing Cross Theatre in the summer for a seven week season from Monday 3 July - Saturday 19 August 2017. The UK spring premiere of the musical production at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester received extensive critical acclaim.

YANK!, the widely acclaimed musical production which recently received its UK premiere at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester, is to transfer to London this summer.

Ensemble Studio Theatre and Radio Drama Network announced today the lineup for the 36th MARATHON OF ONE-ACT PLAYS, the biennial festival series of brand new plays from emerging playwrights.

The long-awaited European Premiere of war-time love story Yank! is now open and running preview performances in Manchester ahead of its official opening on Wednesday evening, already standing ovations have taken place at each of the five preview performances. Noor Theatre is New York's only theatre representing voices of the Middle Eastern diaspora. They are often asked to respond to the barrage of news related to the Middle East and beyond. Often, news breaks and it is several years before we see something on stage about it. Such is the nature of theatre making.

Yank! tells the story of Stu, a Midwestern kid who gets drafted for World War II in 1943, and becomes a reporter for Yank Magazine, the journal 'for the servicemen, by the servicemen.' Yank! has a score that pays homage to the 1940s and explores what it means to be a man, and what it is to fall in love and struggle. Intelligent and impassioned, suffused with songs in swing, big band and boogie-woogie styles, the show explores the stories that don't get told in wartime, and how WWII became a great catalyst in bringing gay men and women together.
