La Mama Theatre is set to present Yellingbo, an ingenious, darkly witty drama from acclaimed local playwright, Tee O’Neill, (BARASSI The Stage Show). The production will run at the new La Mama HQ, 205 Faraday Street, Carlton from March 9th through the 20th. The show explores the limits of Australians’ generosity in the context of today’s refugee crisis. 

Due to popular demand, the legendary John Bell is back at Ensemble Theatre from 23 January with even more tales to tell. One of Australia's theatre greats will delve further into his treasure trove of favourite poems, stories and backstage anecdotes.

The Australian Theatre Festival NYC presented an ONLINE festival for the 2020 season, which included 5 commissioned short plays, an online cabaret and an industry panel. The program ran December 4th and 5th, 2020, and streamed online for a week following the premiere.

Ensemble Theatre has announced the 2021 Season which, says Kilmurry, will be a season of 10 shows by Australian and international playwrights including 3 special events with theatre legends.

The Museum of Arts and Design celebrates the craft of artist-made jewelry with MAD About Jewelry 2020, virtual shows and sales of more than 40 of the world's most innovative contemporary jewelry artists. Small groups of artists will show their work on the museum's website, then every two weeks, the artists will rotate and jewelry by a new group will be featured for sale.  In mid-November, MAD About Jewelry 2020 will culminate with a presentation of work from all the 2020 artists, including new work, online through the end of the year.

Mark Kilmurry, Artistic Director Ensemble Theatre today announced that Ensemble Theatre is opening its doors in October for a play reading of David Williamson's brilliant comedy, MONEY AND FRIENDS. The play readings open on 22 October.

The Yarra Valley Writers Festival will go virtual with a live stream this May.
