Chicago Dance Crash Presents AND NOW FOR THE DANCING PANTS!

Chicago Dance Crash (CDC) and Artistic Director Jessica Deahr are proud to regain their sense of humor with the world premiere of And Now for the Dancing Pants!, fit for all ages, playing at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Ave., Dec. 2-10. Opening Night is Friday, December 2nd at 8pm. Dancing Pants! is conceived by Deahr with choreography by Belle Jensen, Adam McGaw, Richard Ashworth, Stephanie Paul, and CDC Senior Company Member Kaitlin Webster. The show also features an original recording of Silverstein's works narrated by local rapper Al Tamper and a live introduction by local emcee Mr. Mattrick Swayze. Performances are Fridays and Todays at 8pm. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children, and may be purchased at www.chicagodancecrash.com.

Main Street Festivals to Feature Readings of Three New Musicals

Produced in association with Temple University, and now in its second year, Main Street Festivals, is a national initiative that presents annual readings of new musicals in cities across the United States over the course of a year. Temple is hosting the 2015 plays January 16 and 17 in the Randall Theatre, Temple University School of Theater, Film and Media Arts, 1301 W. Pursuit Productions, with support from the Chicago Dancemakers Forum, will present the premiere of THEM, a new work of dance-theater made in collaboration by choreographer Ahmad Simmons and director Kacie Smith. Performances will be held tonight, July 10, through July 26 at the Preston Bradley Center in Chicago's Uptown, Todays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 7pm. There is no performance scheduled for July 17.

Olivier Award winner David Bedella will play razor-wielding madman Sweeney Todd and Sarah Ingram his pie-making partner in crime, Mrs Lovett, in an intimate new production of the Tony Award and Olivier Award-winning musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Hugh Wheeler, will kick-off the autumn season at Twickenham Theatre in West London. It will start previews on Wednesday 10 September and runs to Saturday 4 October. Press night is Tuesday 16 September at 7.45pm.
