Los Angeles Opera has a number of excellent recitals on its website including one by baritone Craig Colclough in which he sings the Shakespeare monologues from Otello and Macbeth that Verdi set to music. Together with pianist Jeremy Frank, Colclough presents a program that also includes works by Beethoven, Wagner, Porter, and Vaughan Williams.

LA Opera Postpones or Cancels Remaining 2020/21 Season Programming

LA Opera announced today that it is postponing, reimagining or canceling all currently scheduled in-person programming for the remainder of the 2020/21 season due to concerns for artist and patron safety regarding COVID-19. Recent news regarding the development of vaccines has reinspired confidence in the company's ability to return to normal production for the 2021/22 season, which will be a combination of rescheduled and new programming.

Berkshire Opera Festival's DON PASQUALE Headlines Fourth Season

Berkshire Opera Festival (BOF) will present Gaetano Donizetti's charming classic Don Pasquale for its fourth season, with performances August 24, 27, and 30 at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington. The production is conducted by Artistic Director Brian Garman and directed by Director of Production Jonathon Loy, the co-founders of Berkshire Opera Festival. As with the first three seasons, recitals and outreach events complementing the mainstage production will be presented around the local Berkshire community, including a new collaboration with Hancock Shaker Village entitled Ain't it a Pretty Night: Excerpts from American Opera on August 8th and Savor the Sound: An Evening of Bel Canto, a free concert for the Berkshire community on August 14th.

LA Opera Announces 2019/20 Season
