Haddon Township, NJ - Everyone knows how hard it is to get to Broadway. It turns out it is not too easy to get to Haddon Township, New Jersey, either. Just ask the South Jersey creators of a new musical, The Bisley Boy: Joshua Bessinger, Krysten Cummings and Collin Maier.

Producer Jaime Cepero and #marchonbroadway creators Nattalyee Randal & Courtney Daniels presented a party for Juneteenth and ended up with one great night of entertainment.

Spend the evening laughing with Katie Johantgen and an all-star cast featuring opener Hannah Pilkes, and appearances by Rocky Paterra, Esther Fallick, & Courtney Daniels. The evening is music directed by Danny K Bernstien. The KatiejoyofoSHOW is produced with assistance from Ali Wonderly and Tia Harewood-Millington.

My friends, we have finally done it. In just a couple of weeks from now, we will be leaving behind the mess of a year that was 2021 and going into the hopefully bright future of 2022. Let's take a trip back through 2021 and talk about some of my favorite theater moments we experienced this year, from next-level movie musicals to the re-opening of Broadway.

On Thursday, May 13, Sierra Boggess joined Nattalyee Randall, Ryan J. Haddad, and Joshua Castille for a talk on the Deaf and Disabled community within the theatre industry and its issues with accessibility.

On Wednesday, May 12, Stephanie J. Block joined Jaime Cepero, Shakina Nayfack, and L Morgan Lee in a conversation centered around Trans, Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming Artist inclusion in the theatre industry.

In the week leading up to a meeting between the Actors’ Equity Association and the organizers of the March on Broadway, Laura Benanti, Stephanie J. Block, Sierra Boggess, and more have joined to host an Instagram Live series on their platforms focused on combating racism and inequity by passing the mic to members of marginalized communities to discuss their experiences in the industry.

There has been a lot going on in the theatre world these past few weeks, to say the least. I know something that I have been thinking about lately is: what are some things that I can personally do right now to help and participate in this movement? Here are just a few answers.
