Very Intense Productions and Your Theatrics (Jeremy Youett and Jacob Harvey) to presentJasper in Deadland on Monday November 18 (9:30pm and 11:30pm) at New York's premiere Supper Club, 54 Below, produced in association with Prospect Theater Company. Jasper in Deadland is the final concert of RSO FEST, a series of concerts showcasing the scores of three new musicals by composer Ryan Scott Oliver. RSO FEST launched October 7th with 35mm: A Musical Exhibition (produced in association with Tony Award winning producer John Johnson), followed by Darling on Monday November 4 (produced in association with Grammy Award winning Sh-k-boom records and Kurt Deutsch).

THE HINTERLANDS, a free musical web series about teenage gay bullying, officially launched on October 28, 2013 at a special event held at The New 42nd Street Studios. At the event, special guest speaker James Clementi of The Tyler Clementi Foundation shared some touching words about his younger brother Tyler and underscored the importance of being a light for young people who were struggling with thoughts of suicide. Connor Russell (Disney's Aladdin world premiere), star of THE HINTERLANDS, performed "Like It Here," a song from the fifth episode of the series. Katie Thompson (GIANT), backed by 13 students from the Professional Performing Arts School in Midtown, sang "Worthy," which will be part of the sixth episode of THE HINTERLANDS. The evening was hosted by Andrew Kober and Danielle Wade. Andrew Kober made his Broadway debut in the 2009 Tony Award winning revival of Hair after originating the roles of Father and Margaret Mead in the Shakespeare in the Park production. He also played the roles in the West End revival in 2010. He has also appeared on television in 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Pan Am' and 'House of Cards.'

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced complete casting for Hairspray in Concert, featuring some of Seattle's favorite musical theatre stars and the powerful voices of the 250-member Seattle Men's Chorus. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hairspray's 2002 Broadway debut, this unique concert event will play for six very special performances of glorious and irreverent John Waters-inspired wackiness (Friday-Sunday, June 20-23). In 2002, Hairspray was The 5th Avenue Theatre's first world premiere musical to head for Broadway where it won the 2003 Tony Award for Best Musical and launched The 5th's unprecedented track record for sending new works to New York. Now the smash hit musical comes home, as audiences have never seen it before.

Last night the incredible talent from Contemporary Classics stepped up to the mic once more for the 11th installment of their wildly popular "New Voices" series, spotlighting new works from composers around the country. Some local composers and some abroad, some new-ish pieces and some brand spankin' new for this show, Host Brandon Ivie and Music director R.J. Tancioco gathered together some of the most obscenely talented performers in the area to blow the doors off ACT Theatre and there was not a door standing when they were done.

Contemporary Classics' New Voices played two standing-room-only shows on August 15 at ACT Theatre in Seattle. Hosted by Brandon Ivie, the show featured a slew of the hottest musical theatre writers today including world premieres by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, Chris Jeffries, and Michelle Elliot and danny larson. The cast included Broadway's Kendra Kassebaum, Louis Hobson, Vicki Noon, Ryah Nixon, and many of Seattle's best talent.
