Timmy the Great is a new musical based on the children's book King Timmy the Great by Sandra Hochman and Tad Danielak, (which was inspired by the Polish martyr, Janusz Korshak's, book 'King Matt The First'). Book & Lyrics are by poet, novelist, journalist, Sandra Hochman (Yale Younger Poets Award, and twice nominated for a Pulitzer Prize); Gary Kupper ('Freckle Face Strawberry') has composed the music; and Edward Pierce is the production consultant. Choreographed by Julie Arenal ('Hair'). The production is directed by Julie Arenal and Jay Binder. Get a first look at the musical below!

Students from Lawrence Academy of Music will have a chance to appear alongside Broadway performers in Elf the Musical at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center today, November 13-18. The young performers between the ages of 5 and 12 will include Nora Austin, Pippa Austin, Gavin Burkheimer, Eleanora Dane, Izzy Dane, Roseanna Dane, Nathaniel James, August McLaughlin, Sylvia Polansky, Will Scheffler, Maura Tarnowski and Annika Urness.

Mann Performing Arts Hall); and St. Paul, MN (Dec. 5-30, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts).

Broadway's own song and dance man, Hinton Battle, a three-time Tony Award-winner, returned recently in a new capacity as a playwright. His musical, Love Lies - Treat Her Like a Lady, a selection of the Midtown international Theater Festival, had its last performance as part of the festival on Saturday night with special guest attendees, Lady Gaga's parents, Cynthia and Joseph Germanotta.
