Tonys season is here at last! The nominations for the biggest Broadway awards ceremony were announced last week on Monday, May 9. Leading the pack was A Strange Loop with eleven nominations, followed closely by MJ and Paradise Square, with ten nominations each. On Thursday, the nominees met the press and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture photos.

Nominations for the 66th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced today, and the full list of nominees is available here as well as information on who was eligible.

Orlando Repertory Theatre will join in partnership with TheaterWorksUSA bringing three productions to Orlando REP stages during 2022-2023.  After a successful presentation of TheaterWorksUSA's The Pout-Pout Fish earlier this year, a full season partnership brings Dog Man: The Musical, Click, Clack, Moo, and The Lightning Thief: Theater for Young Audiences Edition to Orlando family audiences. Orlando REP's full 2022-2023 Season will be announced soon.

On Monday, April 25th, 2022, in New York City, TheaterWorks USA had their spring benefit at 'The Current' located at Chelsea Piers. The special honorees at the event included Bonnie Comley, Stewart Lane, Tom Costanzo, Daphne Rubin-Vega, and Schele Williams.

The Outer Critics Circle (OCC), the official organization of writers on New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers and national publications, have just announced the nominees for the 71st Annual Outer Critics Circle Awards, honoring the 2021-2022 Broadway and Off-Broadway season.

Lane (Tony Award-Winning Founders of BroadwayHD), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Tony Award-Nominated Actor) & Tom Costanzo, and Schele Williams (Director, Author) for their commitment to expanding access to the arts and for ensuring that young people see their stories represented.

The Broadway revival of Ntozake Shange's for colored girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf, directed and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Camille A.
