 Hampstead Theatre has announced the return of Blackout Songs - Joe White's compassionate and unflinching new play about love, addiction and memory, directed by Guy Jones.

This February, Mischief returns to the Belgrade Theatre with its usual brand of calamitous comedy in Groan Ups. The farcical tale of growing up runs on the Belgrade's Main Stage from Mon 28 Feb – Sat 5 March. 

Olivier award winning comedy favourites, Mischief, announce full casting for their very first UK tour of Groan Ups. The touring cast presents: Daniel Abbott (Archie), Jamie Birkett (Chemise, Miss Murray), Matt Cavendish (Simon), Killian Macardle (Paul, Mr White), Yolanda Ovide (Moon), Dharmesh Patel (Spencer), Lauren Samuels (Katie), with understudies Paul Brown and Holly Sumpton.

​Are we really that different from who we were at school? Mischief Theatre’s Groan Ups takes a light-hearted look at this question. This comedy, a diversion from Mischief’s usual “goes wrong” flavour of plays, tugs at the heartstrings but still leaves you in stitches.

Groan Ups will open at Theatre Royal Bath on 12 August 2021 before touring to Salford, Chester, Sheffield, Oxford, Guildford, Edinburgh, Cheltenham, Cardiff, Cambridge, Glasgow, Dartford, Wolverhampton, Norwich, Brighton, Nottingham, Southampton, Aylesbury and Coventry until 5 March 2022. The season will also see An Elephant in the Garden return to the Barn from 31 August – 11 September following its award-nominated digital run earlier this year as well as the previously announced run of the Olivier Award-winning comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense (15 June – 10 July), which opens this week in Cirencester following its run at The Theatre Chipping Norton.

The Barn Theatre in Cirencester and The Theatre Chipping Norton have announced that they will be remounting their 2020 production of the Goodale Brothers' Olivier Award-winning comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense to mark the 140th anniversary of o the author P.G. Wodehouse's birth.

Following a sold-out run at Park Theatre, London, The Last Temptation of Boris Johnson, the new political comedy from journalist, broadcaster and playwright Jonathan Maitland (An Audience with Jimmy Savile, Dead Sheep) will tour for the first time in 2020. Directed by Lotte Wakeham (Artistic Director of the Octagon Theatre, Bolton), it will begin at Festival Theatre, Malvern from 22 January 2020.

Although the West End is still waiting for a production of Dave Malloy's Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, his more recent creation, Preludes, has its UK premiere at the Southwark Playhouse.
