Martin Moran's OBIE Award-Winning One-Man Show THE TRICKY PART Gets Philadelphia Premiere

After premiering Off-Broadway 13 years ago, The Tricky Part, heads to the City of Brotherly Love for a two-night limited engagement May 22-23. The true story of a young Martin Moran, The Tricky Part has been called "a translucent memoir of a play … shattering and affecting" by Ben Brantley of The New York Times. This production of The Tricky Part is part of Drexel University's Entertainment & Arts Management Program's Producing Live Entertainment class, led by Drexel professor and Broadway producer Brannon Wiles.

The Ridgefield Playhouse is offering a screenwriting class for adults with award winning screenwriter Katie Torpey. Students will learn how to turn a story idea into a well-told, formatted screenplay that they can sell to Hollywood! FX Sets Premiere Dates for AMERICAN HORROR STORY, ATLANTA & BETTER THINGS

FX has set the premiere dates for two of the year's most anticipated new comedy series, Atlanta and Better Things, as well as the return of the acclaimed and award-winning American Horror Story for its sixth installment, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and COO, FX Networks. Atlanta, a half-hour comedy series created by and starring Donald Glover, will premiere on FX on September 6, followed two days later by Better Things, a half-hour comedy series co-created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. and starring Adlon. Then on September 14, the as-yet-untitled sixth installment of the Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) winning limited series American Horror Story returns from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
Mirirai Sithole Awarded Classic Stage Company's Rosemarie Tichler Fund Grant

Classic Stage Company has announced that Mirirai Sithole is this year's recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund grant. The Fund was established in 2010 with the mission to assist young actors who have appeared at CSC and who have recently made the transition from their training into the profession. The $3,000 grant can be used by the young artist to continue training or to offset loans they may have incurred while studying their craft. With the grant, CSC hopes to make a difference in the lives of young actors at the start of their careers as well as to heighten awareness in the community to the specific needs of actors.

Michael C. Hall will headline a one-night night only reading of Will Eno's play GNIT, adapted from Henrik Ibsen's PEER GYNT Monday evening, June 20 at 7 pm at CSC (136 East 13th Street) as part of the theater's FIRST LOOK FESTIVAL IBSEN, presented in conjunction with the company current production of PEER GYNT, directed by John Doyle and runs through this Sunday, June 19.
