There are less than 3 weeks remaining to submit 10-minute musicals for the Sound Bites 5.0 musical theatre festival presented by Theatre Now New York. Theatre Now New York (TNNY), Thomas Morrissey, artistic director, Chris Giordano, managing director and Stephen Bishop Seely, Literary Director presents SOUND BITES 5.0 the annual Festival of 10-minute musicals with submissions from musical theatre writers accepted now through February 1, 2018. SOUND BITES 5.0 will be held on Memorial Day, Monday May 28th, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Irene Diamond Stage, The Pershing Square Signature Center in NYC.

Theatre Now New York, Thomas Morrissey, artistic director and Chris Giordano, managing director present the new folk-musical comedy, Thicket & Thistle's What's Your Wish?, currently running through December 16th at the West End Theatre at 263 West 86th Street off West End Avenue in Manhattan, as part of Theatre Now New York's Three New Musicals in Rotating Rep.

Theatre Now New York presented its 4th Annual festival of new musicals, Sound Bites 4.0 (sponsored by Music Theatre International and Disney Theatrical Productions) to a sold-out house at the Perishing Square Signature Theatre. An after-party was held in the theatre lobby where awards were given. Sound Bites showcases ten 10-minute musicals or musical excerpts in one evening.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has dazzled many audiences with its clever wit and humor. The 13th Street Repertory Theater will host a cast-album release celebration tonight, October 16th, following the evening performance of ASCAP Award-winner Chip Deffaa's musical comedy 'Theater Boys.' Robin de Levita, Dragone and The Firm have announced the creative team for CARMEN: The Musical, based on the classic 1845 novel by Prosper Mérimée, directed by Franco Dragone. With music by John Ewbank, and a book by Sarah Miles, a developmental staging will be work-shopped later this year, with a Broadway production targeted for the 2006/07 season.
