Last night, May 28, 2018, Theatre Now New York presented its Fifth Annual Festival of 10-Minute Musicals, SOUND BITES 5.0, on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center, to a sold-out house for the second year in a row. This annual, one-night only event showcases ten new musicals of up-and-coming musical theatre writing teams.

There are less than 3 weeks remaining to submit 10-minute musicals for the Sound Bites 5.0 musical theatre festival presented by Theatre Now New York. Theatre Now New York (TNNY), Thomas Morrissey, artistic director, Chris Giordano, managing director and Stephen Bishop Seely, Literary Director presents SOUND BITES 5.0 the annual Festival of 10-minute musicals with submissions from musical theatre writers accepted now through February 1, 2018. SOUND BITES 5.0 will be held on Memorial Day, Monday May 28th, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Irene Diamond Stage, The Pershing Square Signature Center in NYC.

Tickets are on sale now to the three new musicals We Have Apples, Thicket & Thistle's What's Your Wish? and Kragtar: An American Monster Musical. Performances run from November 29th through December 17th at the West End Theatre, 263 West 86th Street off West End Avenue in Manhattan. Theatre Now New York presented its 4th Annual festival of new musicals, Sound Bites 4.0 (sponsored by Music Theatre International and Disney Theatrical Productions) to a sold-out house at the Perishing Square Signature Theatre. An after-party was held in the theatre lobby where awards were given. Sound Bites showcases ten 10-minute musicals or musical excerpts in one evening.

Robin de Levita, Dragone and The Firm have announced the creative team for CARMEN: The Musical, based on the classic 1845 novel by Prosper Mérimée, directed by Franco Dragone. With music by John Ewbank, and a book by Sarah Miles, a developmental staging will be work-shopped later this year, with a Broadway production targeted for the 2006/07 season.
