With the roster still building, Theater for the New City has currently scheduled over 200 performing arts organizations, independent artists, poets, puppeteers and film makers for its 29th annual Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, which will be mounted May 24 to 26 in and around Theater for the New City.

The American Dance Festival (ADF) has named Nile H. Russell to the new role of Director of Education. ADF has reorganized its education department, shifting from historically employing an off-site, part-time ADF Dean, to employing an on-site, full-time Director of Education.

Emerging Artists Theatre has announced the line-up for the first week of their bi-annual New Work Series. The three-week festival runs March 21 to April 10 and showcases new musicals, dance pieces, solo shows and plays, in various stages of development. Over 50 productions will be presented.

Tammany Hall, the new, site-specific, immersive theater experience created and directed by Darren Lee Cole (Fleabag, Killer Joe) and Alexander Wright (The Great Gatsby, the UK’s longest running immersive show) will conclude its limited run at New York’s historic SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street) January 9.
