Casting has been announced today for the theatrical debut of TIME STOPS – A World Premiere New Musical. The all-original production comes to West Palm Beach at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on July 15 – 17, 2022.

Casting has been completed for Boca Bound: A New Musical.  The show, with a book by Bonnie Logan and music and lyrics by Richard Peshkin, both of whom are residents of Boca Raton, Florida, will have its world premiere performances at the Wick Theatre from September 19th through September 22. 

The premiere performances of Boca Bound:  A New Musical will take place at The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton from September 19 - 22.  The show, with a book by Bonnie Logan and music and lyrics by Richard Peshkin, both of whom are residents of Boca Raton, Florida, is being produced by White Ibis Productions.

Building off the successes of 2018 Summer Season, which broke attendance records and earned the 2018 New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Professional Musical Production (42nd Street). This past year brought 23 nominations for New Hampshire Theater Awards. The Barn celebrates 8 awards and 19 "top three" finishes in recognition of its 2018 season. The Box Office is now open, so come on by to pick up your tickets, greet the company, and grab a t-shirt!

Following the wildly successful run of Camelot, the New London Barn Playhouse invites you to continue our journey through the 86th Summer Season with a trip to Civil War-era Concord for the earnest and uplifting musical masterpiece Little Women, running June 27 - July 8, 7:30PM with Wednesday matinee performances at 2:00PM and Sunday matinee performances at 5:00PM.

The Pussycat Foundation, established in the spirit of Cosmopolitan Magazine editor Helen Gurley Brown, has awarded Northern Stage's Producing Artistic Director Carol Dunne a Genius Grant of $250,000 for her achievements in theater arts, recognizing her as a pioneering artist and artistic director. The Pussycat Foundation awards Genius Grants to individuals who dedicate their lives to transformative work with bold leadership and vision. The dollars awarded to Carol are split evenly between Northern Stage and the New London Barn Playhouse, which Carol led from 2008-2014.

As our final production for the season, On Golden Pond features a cast of seasoned television and Broadway veterans as well as rising stars from our Junior Intern program.

La La Land isn't the only vehicle opening the door for a new era of movie musicals. NYFA's original productions feature Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Hamilton, Aladdin), Tony Award nominee Charlotte d'Amboise (Pippin, A Chorus Line), Jen Perry (Kinky Boots) and others.

Audiences expecting a historic, telling musical of our seventh president of these United States, Andrew Jackson, are in for quite a surprise. The show, which prefaces that it is not historically accurate, is an emo and rock filled tale of Jackson, the formation of the Democratic Party, and his torture and removal of Native Americans. The musical uses extreme irony to expose the faults of our nation's history and leaders, a topic that is very relevant in the today's news.
