Cleveland Play House Artistic Director Michael Bloom announces the 2010-11 Season lineup - the final one at the historic venue on 85th and Euclid Avenue before relocating to downtown Cleveland's Theater District in the fall of 2011. A re-imagining of an American classic by Horton Foote, Midwest premieres of acclaimed literary adaptations, modern musicals and clever comedies are all contributing to the wide variety of entertainment Bloom has designed for The Play House's 95th consecutive season.

Horton Foote's play, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, will begin performances at The Quotidian Theatre on April 16th. The theatre will continue with the production, despite the cancellation of The Tribute to the Life and Work of Horton Foote, which has been postponed until later this year.

Opening in Village Players Performing Arts Center's Blackbox Theatre, Alfred Uhry?s Pulitzer-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy, runs April 3-April 19, 2009. Under the direction of the Village Players Theatre?s Artist Director, Carl O?cchipinti, this charming play tells the story of the relationship between an elderly Southern Jewish widow and her African-American chauffeur. Over their twenty five years together, spanning 1948-1973, their friendship evolves as they face aging and complex social issues of the time. Written by Alfred Uhry, he won the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the work.
